Cabins & Layout

Every detail onboard the KLM Eliya has been considered in minute detail; from choosing the highest quality of materials for the structure of the ship, to the consideration given to the amenities and safety onboard.

Eliya has 4 double / twin cabins & 2 triple cabins positioned on the middle deck. The 2 triple cabins have 3 single beds in each room, and the 4 double cabins have a queen size bed as well as an additional single bed so are suitable for both double and twin occupancy. These cabins can be accessed via a stairwell from the main saloon area.

Each cabin comes furnished with imported spring mattresses and custom made 300-threadcount bed linen adorned with hand-stitched cushions for ultimate comfort and restful nights sleep. Each bed has accessible international plug sockets to charge your smaller electronic items such as your phone. Reading lights can also be found above each bed. Underneath the beds are lockers with ample storage space for all of your personal items.

Every cabin is also fitted with brand new air-conditioning units to ensure added comfort and, portholes to allow for natural light and a view of the awaiting marine park (although we expect you will be spending the majority of daylight hours on the top decks or underwater!).

All of our cabins onboard KLM Eliya have their own private ensuite toilet & shower room. We provide custom made Scuba Junkie towels (which will be refreshed half-way though your trip). Reef-friendly Shampoo and shower gel are provided too. All toiletries onboard have been sourced for their environmental ethos and are biodegradable. Should you get caught short, we also have biodegradable bamboo toothbrushes & toothpaste pills for sale in our office. There is also reef-safe sunscreen available and this will also be for sale onboard should you need any extra!

General Layout

Throughout the KLM Eliya you will find our bespoke wooden furniture which has been painstakingly handcrafted by the same Sulawesi woodworkers that completed the structure of our beautiful ship. Teakwood has been used throughout and our thick sunbed cushions ensure added comfort.

The main saloon area and upper deck of the KLM Eliya offer plenty of space to relax and unwind between dives.

On the main deck you will find our indoor saloon area. This is a ‘dry-area’ and has a variety of seating space for to enjoy. There are longer sofas to stretch out and relax on, as well as beautiful handcrafted tables and chairs where you can choose to eat and have a drink, or study our marine life books to discover the different names of the incredible marine life that you encountered underwater!

Towards the bow of the boat, on our main deck, is our alfresco dining table- this is the perfect place to enjoy the delicious cuisine cooked by our onboard chef. Further towards the bow there are more areas to relax and catch some sunshine during the day.

On the top deck Eliya offers more seating area with ‘kursi malas’ or lazy chairs! This is an ideal place to watch the islands of Komodo National Park drift past as you journey from one dive site to the next. This area offers both covered areas and a sundeck with bean bags depending on whether your preference is shade or sun.

Food

We believe that delicious meals and beverages are an essential aspect of any liveaboard! Our onboard chef, Eko, has 14 + years of experience working onboard liveaboard vessels and his ability to prepare the most delicious and mouth-watering food onboard is second to none!

As much as possible, all of our produce is sourced locally, from suppliers who we know will provide us with the freshest and tastiest meat and vegetables available. During your stay onboard Eliya our chef will serve a variety of dishes from around Indonesia as well as a few western favourites!

Over the course of each day our chef will ensure you don’t go hungry! After each dive you will be greeted back onboard with a freshly prepared drink such as a fresh juice or ginger tea and a variety of sweet or savoury snacks such as donuts, waffles or vegetarian spring rolls to name but a few.

Tea and coffee will be readily available from the moment you rise in the morning. We also have an espresso coffee machine available should you prefer a coffee with a little more ‘zing.’

Your main meals will be served at our large teakwood dining table which offers alfresco dining on the main deck. Our chef will prepare a varied menu offering everything from the aromatic spiced beef rendang, to the delicate sweetness of teriyaki chicken, to the home comfort of Italian lasagne! Each evening you will be treated to a 3 course meal, starting with a freshly made soup, followed by a flavoursome main course. The meal will be rounded off with a delectable dessert (if you still have room for more!). Our guests are particularly fond of Eko’s famous Crème Brulé !!

From our bar we have a selection of beers, red and white wine and soft drinks available for purchase. Should you like to bring your own drinks, you are more than welcome to do so. There is no corkage fee for this.

Please inform the reservations team in advance if you have any special dietary requirements so our chef can prepare accordingly. Please note that as with all Scuba Junkie locations we do not serve seafood onboard KLM Eliya.

** Included Transfers:
Included in your package is a free transfer each way. This means we can offer the following options for your pick up and drop off:

Option 1: Transfer directly from the airport to your hotel in Labuan Bajo

Option 2: Transfer directly from the airport to the harbour (due to the early morning flights occasionally being delayed, we would only recommend this as a last resort. If you do choose this option, please ensure your flight lands by 9am to give you the best possible chance of not missing the boat!)

For your transfer back- the same will apply:
Option 1: Transfer directly from KLM Eliya to your hotel in Labuan Bajo (or, alternatively, we can drop you off at our office in Labuan Bajo if you have any bills to pay, or you would like to purchase any mementos such a T-shirt, log book etc!)

Option 2: Transfer directly from KLM Eliya to the airport. Please note, if you choose this option, you should ensure your departure flight is not before 3pm – this mean swapping your last dive for a snorkel trip instead to ensure you have had plenty of time to off-gas!
